Located in Twin Falls Idaho, our seed lab has come to the forefront of seed testing of native seed species. Our mainstay is with our quality purity analysis, germination, and tetrazolium testing. The J & T Green Seed Laboratory provides seed tests for quality control and labeling purposes.

Native Seed Testing Is Our Specialty

Native seed testing is and continues to be our specialty. We provide quality testing for the native grass, range, and revegetation species. Purities, germinations, and tetrazolium tests on these species are our bread and butter.

Our analysts have expertise and experience in this area and will analyze your seed samples so that you get the best, most accurate results possible. We service the needs of seed companies and seed growers with their seed testing needs, working with native seed, as well as with more traditional crops.

Opened for Business in Spring 2008

J & T Green had its grand opening in May of 2008 with the goal of providing seed testing services to our customers in a timely and courteous manner, while at the same time, providing the most reliable test results.

Although we are a small operation (only 700 square feet) we boast of six germination chambers, two purity analysis stations and personnel who have lots of experience with agriculture in the intermountain west. Not to say, seed testing in general.

Our Focus is the Native Seed Market and Non-Traditional Crops

J & T Green focuses on the native seed market, seed companies and seedsmen who are not considered to be in the conventional agronomic marketing of seed. Although we can test any of the traditional crops (and have considerable experience with) in addition to our specialty.

As a small business, we understand the issues of agribusiness and the need for personalized service. We may be frugal to keep our costs down like you probably are too, but we are generous with our time and customer service attitude.

Reliability and Standardization in Seed Testing are of Paramount Importance to Our Seed Lab.

We follow the Association of Official Seed Analysts (AOSA), "Rules for Testing Seed". By adhering exactly to these rules and procedures, testing results from J & T Green can be expected to match other seed laboratories' results using these same rules.

This exacting manner of testing keeps the buying and selling of seed in the market a smooth and seamless process. We support the free trade of seed and do our tests to have such expected results.
